ABOUT THE POSITION
My client has an exciting opportunity for a Group Account Director (GAD) to join their team. They are looking for a collaboration-minded person with excellent media relationships, account management, strategic planning, team management, and digital/social skills to help support a key travel and tourism account. This is a critical role within the agency and the successful candidate will form part of the regional management team that determines the future and long-term success of the firm.
He/she will be expected to deliver senior level, strategic counsel to the client while providing leadership and daily management to the account team. The GAD will also need to represent the company consistently to demonstrate the value public relations brings to the communications mix.
The candidate is expected to have at least 7 years experience in the travel and tourism/consumer sector in order to provide expert specialist knowledge and have experience of delivering integrated campaigns and lead client conversations regarding channel strategies.
Experience working within an above-the-line agency environment including agency processes and systems is a definite advantage.
